It’s spring!, and you know what that means (besides super cute summer clothes)… flowers! We’ve been busy playing with easy-to-recreate succulent and flower arrangements, and can’t wait to show you! So get out your shears and vases, and lets dive in!
The beauty of succulents is that they’re adorable, easy to care for, and relatively difficult to kill (yay!). So what you’ll need is simple… something to hold the plant, rocks, and something soft for them to dig their roots into (this may vary depending on what plant you choose, so be sure to do your research!).
How adorable is the idea of building a miniature succulent garden in glassware! You can stop by any dollar store and pick up a glass of your choice. Maybe a cactus in a margarita glass?! The possibilities are endless… (click to enlarge)
Copper planters are classic, and look so chic against the green of succulents. Throw in dimension with some flowers! Voila!
This next project is not for the weak hearted. Unless you’re a succulent pro, we’d probably recommend getting some faux plants! Find a metal shape that you like (we got this one at Kittsona J ) and fill in with the green plant styrofoam from a hobby store. Decorate with your plants and some grasses for dimension. This is SO perfect for any house!
Working with Small Spaces
Are you an apartment dweller, or have little outdoor space to work with? Fear not, Queens! Grow a cute little garden in some creative holders. Wire boxes help keep your plants organized and contained, and also throw a touch of vintage to your space!
And remember: you can always go vertical if you don’t have room to spread out your plants. Throw in some decorative sticks to really catch the eye!
All About That Vase…
Ready to kick up your flower game? Get something fun to put them in! Remember to be creative, and think outside the box (literally). Pitchers are a super adorable alternative to the traditional large vase. We have so many cute, unique (and affordable!) vases at Kittsona- stop in or shop online at kittsona.com!
